http://www.roadrunnerrecords.com/Blabbe ... mID=167018Quote: British thrash metal veterans ONSLAUGHT will cross the Atlantic for their first-ever North American tour in March 2012. The three-week trek will see the band performing a setlist spanning all its studio albums — "Power From Hell", "The Force", "In Search Of Sanity", "Killing Peace" and their latest release, "Sounds Of Violence". Support on the dates will come from M-PIRE OF EVIL (formerly PRIMEVIL), the new band featuring former VENOM members Jeff "Mantas" Dunn (guitar), Antony "Antton" Lant (drums; brother of VENOM frontman Conrad "Cronos" Lant) and Tony "The Demolition Man" Dolan (bass, vocals). Also appeaing on the bill for some devastating dates on the U.S. West Coast will be EVILDEAD.

I wonder if they will play anything off of "Power from Hell," my personal favorite.

Weird, I was just introduced to Evildead today, on Pandora. I guess that's a sign I should try to make this show....

I am very stoked for this show, I never thought I'd get a chance to see EvilDead that soon.

Onslaught's Power from Hell is an absolute classic. i'm listening to it on vinyl right now. haven't heard their 2011 release. looks like the only original members on it are Nige Rockett and Steve Grice, but the album is getting pretty positive reviews on metal archives, so this show might be worth it. Whose going?

Motorthrone is opening the Portland show tomorrow. Really stoked. I've heard that all the bands have been killing on tour & that M-Pire of Evil has been doing some old Venom songs. Keep me posted how the Seattle show goes, I'm sure it will rule!

This was a really fucking cool show. Everything started way sooner than I thought it would so I didn't get there until right before M-Pire of Evil hit the stage. As stupid as their name may be, they've captured the classic Venom tone perfectly. Getting to stand right in front of Mantas as he ripped through several Welcome To Hell/Black Metal tracks was something else. Their original tracks were pretty alright, the riffs were heavy but the songs dragged on. I even got to meet the man(tas) himself briefly, cool guy to say the least.
Work was calling so I only stuck around for enough of Onslaught to hear a Power From Hell track, overall they sounded very solid. Apparently this was both Onslaught's first show in North America and M-Pire of Evil's first show all together.
For anyone interested, M-Pire played: Countess Bathory Die Hard Leave Me In Hell Witching Hour Black Metal

Holy poop I had a blast at this show. Got there somewhat late so missed the openers due to pre-funk in the car and food. I got fairly hammed in the bar, but I kept trying to finish my drinks fast so I could run back downstairs to mosh. EvilDead were great, especially with how long they weren't together. Got to meet them in the bar, cool dudes, they all were excited to be touring again. M-Pire of Evil surprised me a lot, I hadn't really heard any of their stuff before the show. Despite the lame band name, their show slayed. Then finally it was time for Onslaught, amazing show, weird to think it was their first US show with how long they've been around.
I can't really pick a "best band of the night" They all were top notch.

I know what you mean Derek, I had to come down from the bar during EvilDead to get that pit started. I looked down and saw 5 people I know, so I thought "That's enough for a small pit".
